What happens during a License Coordinator change?

Updated over a week ago

Understanding License Coordinator Changes and Restoring Account Access.

When a License Coordinator (LC) change is initiated within Learning A-Z, several processes are triggered to ensure a smooth transition. This article provides a detailed explanation of what happens during such changes, including account handling, restoration processes, and data policies.

What Happens During a License Coordinator Change?

  • A new License Coordinator account is always created when an LC replacement occurs, rather than reusing the previous user account. This process allows for the separation of roles, and in some cases, a user may hold both a License Coordinator account and a separate teacher account. Usernames for these accounts can be edited as needed.

  • The previous License Coordinator account is marked inactive.

How to Restore the Previous License Coordinators Account

If a user's account has been removed as part of the License Coordinator change, it can be restored using the following steps:

  1. Log In: Access the Account Management page using your credentials.

  2. Navigate to Removed Users: Go to the 'Manage Users' tab and select 'Removed Users' from the View drop-down menu.

  3. Restore the Account: Click the restore icon next to the desired user and select the appropriate access level for them.

  4. Verify Licenses: Ensure there is a free license available for the user, particularly if they require access to specific add-ons (e.g., Raz-Plus license for Raz-Plus add-ons).

  5. Complete Restoration: Once all configurations are correct, click the 'Restore User' button to finalize.

Note: A restored user must meet licensing requirements to continue using associated instructional materials.
