When using the Import Students feature, it's important to enter data in a specific format. Depending on your products, you may see some or all of these columns. Leaving a field blank for an existing student will not change their settings.
Grade Level:
This field is optional.
It defaults to the teacher's selected grade unless "Multiple" or "Other" is chosen.
Possible grades: Pre-K, K, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7-12, or Other.
Note: Excel may format 7-12 as a date. To fix this, right-click the cell, select "Format Cells," and choose "Text."
Raz-Kids Level or Raz-Plus Level:
Use this to assign a reading level.
Leave blank for new students to use the Placement Tool.
Leaving it blank for existing students keeps their current level.
Science Grade:
Enter (K-2), (3-4), or (5-6) with parentheses.
Science Reading Level:
Choose from Low, Mid, or High within the grade ranges.
Grammar Auto-Assignment Grade:
For Writing A-Z subscribers, grammar videos and activities are assigned based on this grade.
If left blank, students are assigned to Kindergarten by default.
