Assigning Premade Lessons in Vocabulary A-Z

Vocabulary A-Z offers premade lessons for Learning A-Z resources and other reading series.

  • Raz-Plus/Reading A-Z (a license to Raz-Plus or Reading A-Z is required)

  • Raz-Plus ELL Edition (a license to Raz-Plus w/ELL is required)

  • Science A-Z (a license to Science A-Z is required)

  • Benchmark Education

    • Benchmark Advance 2017

  • McGraw-Hill

    • Wonders 2014

  • Harcourt

    • Trophies 2005

  • Macmillan

    • Treasures 2007

To assign a premade lesson:

  1. Log in to Vocabulary A-Z.

  2. Click the Premade Lessons menu and select a category.

  3. Click on the selected resource and click Assign.

    • Or, click Download to print a PDF with a lesson plan, worksheets, and an assessment.

  4. Select the assignment type and categories.

    • If Intervention is selected, you will scroll down and select which interactivities to assign to your students. At least one Test Me activity must be selected.

  5. Click Choose Students.

  6. Select the students and assignment settings.

  7. Click Assign.

Students will see Raz-Plus and Science A-Z premade lessons in the assignment area for that product. They will see the other reading series lessons in the Vocabulary assignment area.

You can also select Copy and Customize from the Actions menu in the upper left corner next to the lesson name to change, add or delete words in the lesson. Customized lessons are saved in Your Lessons for future use.

​​Note: A license to Raz-Plus / Reading A-Z, Raz-Plus w/ ELL Edition, or Science A-Z is required to use the corresponding premade lessons. The words may differ slightly from the Reading A-Z or Science A-Z glossaries since words in Vocabulary A-Z are only available in the singular, present-tense form.
