While Raz-Plus offers a wide range of resources to support reading comprehension, vocabulary, and foundational literacy, it does not provide comprehensive writing instruction. Writing resources within the Reading Suite are designed to support reading development, helping students make meaning and build comprehension—not to teach writing as a standalone skill.
For dedicated writing instruction, we recommend using Writing A–Z, which offers a research-based, developmentally appropriate framework for teaching writing across grade levels.
What alternative content in Raz-Plus should customers utilize instead?
Writing A-Z: Provides explicit instruction in the three main writing genres—narrative, informative/explanatory, and opinion/argumentative—as well as full coverage of the writing process. Resources are tailored to developmental stages and instructional needs at each grade level.
Note: There are no alternatives on Raz-Plus at this time.
