Getting Started with Learning A-Z: A Guide for Parents

Welcome to Learning A-Z! We're thrilled that you've chosen our educational resources to support your child's learning journey. This guide will help you get started and make the most of your Learning A-Z license.

Step 1: Explore the Resources

Learning A-Z offers a variety of products designed to address various aspects of learning. Here’s a brief overview of what we offer:

  • Raz-Kids: Interactive eBooks and quizzes to improve reading skills.

  • Reading A-Z: Printable books and lessons for guided reading.

  • Raz-Plus: Integrates Raz-Kids and Reading A-Z to provide over 3,000 eBooks and resources that can be printed, projected, and digitally assigned to students.

  • Foundations A-Z: A comprehensive K-5 solution designed to simplify the planning and delivery of foundational skills instruction aligned with the Science of Reading.

  • Writing A-Z: Comprehensive writing instruction and activities.

  • Science A-Z: Engaging science lessons and experiments.

  • Vocabulary A-Z: Tools to build and reinforce vocabulary.

Step 2: Activate Your License

After selecting and purchasing (or initiating a trial of) your Learning A-Z license, you will receive an email with activation instructions. Follow these steps to activate your account:

  1. Check Your Email: Look for an email from Learning A-Z with your activation link.

  2. Click the Activation Link: This will take you to the Learning A-Z website.

  3. Create Your Account: Fill in the required information to set up your account.

Step 3: Roster Your Student

If you have purchased Raz-Kids or other student facing products, your first step is rostering your students.

  1. Log In: Go to Kids A-Z.

  2. Click on "Teacher" in the upper right corner and log in with your teacher username and password.

  3. Select "Add Students" from the "My Classroom" or "Manage Students" menu.

  4. Enter a Username for your student (required) as it will appear on the class chart.

  5. Enter the student's name (optional) for reports.

  6. Click the pencil icon in the password column to set a text or picture icon password (required).

  7. Click Save.

Step 4: Log In Your Student

Once you have your student added to the student roster, you are ready to have your student log in to begin.

From a web browser:

  1. Log In: Go to Kids A-Z.

  2. Enter the teacher's username the first time logging in. Subsequent logins, the student can choose the teacher's icon.

  3. Select your student's icon from the class chart.

  4. Enter your student's password and click Go.

From a Mobile App:

  1. Download the free Kids A-Z app from your device's app store.

  2. Open the app and enter the teacher's username.

  3. Select your student's icon from the class chart.

  4. Enter your student's password and click Go.
