When a teacher has assigned a digital Running Record to help them assess a student's reading abilities, the student will automatically be directed to complete it first when logging in. If it was bypassed initially, the student can return to it by clicking the Flight Check or Assessment icon from the Raz-Kids student homepage.

To complete the Running Record, the student first records a reading of it and sends it to the teacher. Next, the student records a retelling of it and sends it to the teacher. Then the student passes a short comprehension quiz.
