The Pre-K Tip Sheets do not align with Developmentally Appropriate Practices (DAP). DAP is a set of principles and recommendations designed to support appropriate teaching and learning practices for children from birth through age 8.

Create a Print-Rich Pre-K Classroom
The Phoneme/Grapheme Cards are also recommended for Pre-K classrooms. Teachers can display these cards in the classroom to help create a print-rich environment and give children opportunities to see and interact with letters and sounds throughout the day.
