The Reading Room in Raz-Kids gives students access to additional reading resources. Teachers can customize Reading Room access for individual students or groups based on their reading needs.
You can control which languages and resource types students can access, as well as the range of reading levels available to them.
Manage Reading Room Access
Log in
Sign in to your Raz-Kids account.Open the student roster
Select Manage Students, then select Roster.Select students
Select the Raz-Kids tab at the top of the roster. Choose individual students or select the box at the top to select all students.To select all students in a specific group, choose the group from the Viewing Menu.
Open Reading Room settings
Select Reading Room in the column header, then select Customize.Choose languages
Select the language you want to manage and turn access On or Off.Choose resources and reading levels
Select the resource types you want students to access.For Books by Grade/Level, you can:
Allow students to access the Listen version.
Allow students to take quizzes.
Set how many reading levels above and below the student's reading level they can access.
By default, students have access to one levels above and one levels below their Level Up reading level.
To limit access to specific reading levels, select Lock At Level and choose the desired levels from the drop-down menus.
Save your changes
Select Save & Close to apply the settings.
Why Customize Reading Room Access?
Customizing Reading Room access helps teachers provide students with resources that match their reading abilities and learning goals. Adjusting language, resource types, and reading-level access can make it easier for students to find appropriate materials while supporting personalized reading practice.
Note: What Students Will See — Books by Topic
The Reading Room will deliver Books by Topic based on grade levels rather than Books by level.
